RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO IMPROVE
STREET DISTRICT NO. O IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, MIFORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS FIELD,
as follows:
That it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Bakersfield, to order the following work to be done and improve-
ment to be made in said City, to -wit:
SECTION 1.
That cement concrete sidewalks and curbs be constructed
to the official line and grade where shown to be constructed on the
plan for said work, on the following named streets, to -wit:
(a) On 21st Street between the westerly line of C Street
and the center line of B Street.
(b) On 22nd Street between a line 132 feet easterly from
and parallel with the easterly line of H Street and a line 182 feet
westerly from the westerly line of A Street.
(c) On H Street between the center line of 21st Street
and the center line of 23rd Street.
(d) On G Street between the southerly line of 22nd Street
and the center line of 23rd Street.
(e) On F Street between the center line of 21st Street and
the center line of 23rd Street.
(f) On E Street between the northerly line of 21st Street
and the center line of 22nd Street.
(g) On D Street between the center line of 21st Street and
the center line of 22nd Street.
Including all intersections of streets and alleys within
the limits of the above description and excluding therefrom the
whole or any portion of streets, street intersections or alley inter-
sections on which curbs or sidewalk has been constructed to the
official line and grade.

All in the City of Bakersfield as shown on that certain
map entitled "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, Calif-
ornia", filed in the office of the'County Recorder of said Kern County
November 25, 1898.
All of said work and improvement is to be done in accordance
with the plan and specifications heretofore and on the 3tIZAday of
1930, adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field, said plan being entitled "PLAN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF STREET
DISTRICT NO.[0 O 5 ", and said specifications being entitled "SPECIFI-
CATIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF STREET DISTRICT N0.6 O 3 ", and which
said plan and specifications are on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, and are hereby referred to and by
such reference made a part and portion hereof, and in this connection
the said plan and specifications also show the exact location of the
aforesaid work and improvement.
AND WHEREAS said contemplated work and improvement in the
opinion of said City Council is of more than local or ordinary public
benefit, said Council hereby makes the costs and expenses of said work
and improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said City
Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and
improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof,
and which said district is bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of 23rd Street 132
feet easterly from the easterly line of H Street; thence southerly
and parallel with the easterly line of H Street to the center line of
21st Street; thence westerly along the center line of 21st Street to
the center line of H Street; thence northerly along the center line of
H Street to the center line of 22nd Street; thence westerly along the
center line of 22nd Street to the center line of a Street; thence south-
erly along the center line of G} Street to a point 132 feet southerly
from the southerly line of 22nd Street; thence westerly and parallel
with the southerly line of 22nd Street to the center line of F Street;
thence southerly along the center line of F Street to the center line
of 21st Street; thence westerly along the -enter line of 21st Street
to the center line of B Street; thence northerly along the center line

of B Street to a point 122 feet southerly from the southerly line
of 22nd Street; thence westerly and parallel with the southerly
line of 22nd Street to a point 182 feet westerly from the westerly
line of A Street; thence northerly and parallel with the westerly
line of A Street to the center line of 22nd Street; thence easterly
along the center line of 22nd Street to a point 132 feet easterly
from the easterly line of A Street; thence northerly and parallel
with the easterly line of A Street 132 feet; thence easterly and
parallel with the northerly line of 22nd Street to a point 132
feet easterly from the easterly line of B Street; thence southerly
and parallel with the easterly line of B Street to the center line
of 22nd Street; thence easterly along the center line of 22nd Street
to a point 132 feet easterly from the easterly line of E Street;
thence northerly and parallel with the easterly line of E Street to
the center line of 23rd. Street; thence easterly along the center
line of 23rd Street to the point of beginning.
All in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California.
All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated
the "Improvement Act of 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts
amendatory thereof.
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 244Aday of
1930, at 8 o'clock P. M. at a regular meeting
of the said City Council in the Council Chamber of said City Council
in the City Hall of the City of Bakersfield, any and all persons having
any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before
said City Council and show cause why said proposed improvement should
not be carried out in accordance with said resolution.
The City Clerk of said City shall cause this Resolution of
Intention to be published twice in the The Bakersfield Californian,
a daily newspaper printed, published and eircul =ted in said City of
Bakers - field, and hereby designated for that purpose by said City
Council.

The Street Superintendent of said City of Bakersfield
shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said
contemplated work and improvement and along the open streets within
said district notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention
in the manner and form required by law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was regularly introduced, passed and adopted by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
day of 1930, by the following vote:
