BE I'1' RESOLVF) !3Y THE COUN "IL OF THE CITY Or tsAhF,'rt`:i'1F;Lu, as follows: That it is the intention of the City "ouncil of the City of Bakersfield, to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in slid 7ity, to -wit: SE','1'ION 1. (P?vING). That the alley in Block 153, Jity of Bakersfield, from the northerly line of 23rd Street to the southerly line of 24trn Street, and for the full. width of said alley, be graded and a pavement of cement concrete five (5) inches in thickness be laid thereon. SECTION 2. (Gh.AUES). All of the above work and improvement shall be done to such grades as have been established by Ordinance No. 175 of the Council of the "ity of Bakersfield, adopted February 20, 1911. SE )T1 ON 3. (mAP) . The block above mentioned is as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the City of Bakersfield, !.ern "ounty, Calif- ornia", filed in the office of the County Recorder, November 25, 1898. SECTION 5. (Ul ',Tci1 ,` ) . Ayi; ',.,Y, 1 FAS, s aid contemplated work and improverr.ent in the opinion of Paid City Council is of more than local or ordinary public bAnefit, said Council hereby makes the costs and expenses of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by said, work ent3. improvement and to be. assessed to pay the costs Ea ;n,es thereof, and which said district is bounded and described as follows: Bea,inning at a point in the easterly line of Chester Avenue where the ss,me is intersected by the northerly line of 23rd Street; thence northerly along the er•,ster].y line of Cre<ter Avenue to the southerly line of 24th. Street; thence easterly along the southerly line of 24th Street to the westerly line of K :street; thence southerly along the westerly line of K _1,'treet to the northerly line of 23rd Street; thence westerly along the northerly line of 23rd Street to the easterly line of Che -ter Avenue and the point o1' beginning. SECTION 6. (IJv,PIiOVk;r; 912 AJ`1'). All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pur- suance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, des- ignated the "Improvement Act of 1911" approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the � ±day of , 19310 at 8 o'clock F. 1,:. at a regular meeting of the said City Council 'n the Council Chamber of said City Council in the ;ity Hall of the :3ity of Bakersfield, any and all persons having any objections to the proposed wort: or improvement -2- may appear before said City Council and show cause why said pro- posed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution. (PU8L1 J A'l'l ON . ) The City Clerk of said City of Bakersfield shall cause this hesolution of Intention to be published twice in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspapFr printed, publishes and circulated in said Jity of Bakersfield, and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council. SECTION S.(POS'P.fN,T). The Street Superintendent of said City of Bakersfield shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and along all the open streets within said district, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner and form reouired by law.
