HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0622RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 7'Y RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCS 401A IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFO-tNIA. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the closing of that portion of an alley herein described; and that the lands included within the boundaries of such portion as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property des- cribed herein, for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying, maintaining or repairing the following: A sewer line and all of its component parts used or en- joyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanitation; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protection and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of Bakersfield may desire to place, or to have placed therein. All of that portion of the alley in Block 401A, as said block is shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, November 25, 1898, lying between the westerly line of B Street and a line 137 feet westerly of and parallel with the said westerly line of B Street, as B Street is laid out and shown on said map. All of the herein proposed work and im provement shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LAYING OUT, OPENING, EXTENDING, WIDEMING, STRAIGHTENING OR CLOSING UP, Iii' WHOLE OR IN 50 PART ANY STREET, SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE 'NITHIN MUNICIPALITIES AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND NEC- ESSARY OR CONVENIENT FOR THAT PURPOSE" approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. The district benefited by said closing is described as follows! All of that portion of Block 401A, as said block is shown on that certain map entitled "Bap of the City of Bakers- field, Kern County, California ", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, November 25, 1898, lying between the westerly line of B Street and a line 137 feet westerly of and parallel with the said westerly line of B Street, as B Street is laid out and shown on said map.
