BE IT RE6OLV17D BY THE COUNCIL OF 'BE' CITY OF' BAKEhLD Ih;LD, as follows: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the closing of the alley herein described; and that the lands included within the boundaries of such portion, as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and easement to use and enjoy any or all-of the property described herein, for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing laying, maintaining or repairing the following; A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanita- tion; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protec- tion and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of Bakersfield may desire to place, or to have placed therein. All of the alley in fractional Block 177, Godey Tract, as said block is shown on a Plat of The Godey Tract filed in Book 1 of Maps, Page 33, Records of rern County, California. All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR ThE LAYING OUT, OPEI% DG, EXTENDING, WIDENING, STRAIGTiTENIhG OR CLOSING UP, IN AHOLE.; OR Iii FART, ANY STREET, SQUARE;, LAhh, ALLEY, COURT OR PLaCE VdIT.JIN iVIUNICI- PALITIE6 AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQUIiE ATdY AND ALL LAND NECESSARY OR COIXLI',lRNT 1'OR THAT FURPOSE" approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. -1- The district benefited by said closing is described as follows: All of fractional Block 177, Godey Tract, as said block is shown on a Plat of The Godey Tract filed in Book 1 of Niaps, Page 33, Records of Kern County, California.
