RESOLUTION OF INTEI,TION TO REDUCE THE vvIDTH OF' TF T,' ALLEY IN BLOCK 364, CITY OF BA1vM`ES- F'IF.LD, FROM THIRTY THREE FEET TO TWENTY FEM. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TF''T' CITY OF BAKT'RS'r'IELD, as follows: That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the follovaing work to be done and improve- ment to be made in said City, to -wit: That the alley running easterly and westerly through Block 364, City of Bakersfield, be dit:inished to a uniform width of twenty (20) feet, and the remaining portions of :ai< alley be vacated and closed. The lands necessary and convenient to be abandoned and vacated for said purpose are described as follows: (a) Beginning at a point in the westerly line of I Street, 115.50 feet southerly from the southerly line of 14th Street anu rtuuiing thence westerly and parallel with the southerly line of 14th Street to the easterly line of H Street; thence southerly along the easterly line of H Street 6.50 feet; thence easterly and parallel with the southerly line of 14th Street to the westerly line of I Street; thence northerly along the westerly line of I Street 6.50 feet to the point of beginning. (b) Beginning at a point in the vaest(,rly line of I Street 115.50 feet northerly from the northerly line of 13th Street, and running thence westerly and parallel.. with the northerly line of 13th Street to the easterly line of H Street; thence northerly alone, the easterly line of H Street 6.50 feet; thence easterly and parallel with the northerly line of 13th Street to the westerly lire of I Street; thence southerly alone° the westerly 11.ze of I Street 6.50 feet to the point of beginning. All as shown on that certain map entitled "?.lap of the City of Baiersfiel.d, Kern County, California ", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, November 25, 1$98. The district of land to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement is described as follows: All of Block 364, City of Bakersfield, as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of the City of Baker: - field, Kern County, California", filed in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, November 25, 1898. All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LAYING OUT, OPEN- ING, EXTENDII,'1G, STRAIGHTENING, OR CLOSING UP IN WHOLE OR IN PART ANY STREET, SQUARE, LAIN, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITHIN MUNICIPkLITIr.1 AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQ13IRE A1TY AND ALL LkN-D 11ECE3,,41 -r,Y OR CONVT,'14If,ffT FOR THAT PURPOSE", approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
