That it is the intention of the Council of the Oity of lial "ers-

certain alleys, hereinafter described; and that the lands included within
the boundaries of such portions as describeC, be abandoned; save and

the property described herein for the purpose of coastructin„ recon-
structing, installing, layin,r, maintaining; or repairing the following:
A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed
in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanitation;
also ,rater pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protection and
all. appurtenances thereto belongin -; also hvrater pi ;es aiyd connec 'Gians
_or the distribution of a do:;estic grater supply; also any other public
system or thing and all of its component parts tahici tray be used and
enjoyed in connection therewith, that the pity of )akersfield may desire

All of the herein proposed work and, improvement shall be done
in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California,

approved Larch 61 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof or
supplemental thereto.
The district benefited by said closing is described as follows:
Vractional Mock 579, 310CIC 580, Block 601, Block 602
and Fractional Block 603, as said blocks are shown
and delineated on LaF of Bakersfield recorded Novem-
ber 25, 1898, in Boo z. 1 of N11aps at pages 13 and 14,
Records of Kern County, California.
The Bakersfield Californian is hereby designated as the daily
newspaper published and circulated in said City in which the Street
Superintendent's notice of the passage of this -Resolution shall be pub-
lished.
I hzpZBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City ofBakersfield, on the 21st day of
January, 1946, by the following vote:
