A RE60LUTIOIV OF I il'I'Pa.,NTION TO CLOSE 41 PORTION OF 17th STREET .BETMEN CEDAR STREET AND PINE STREET, ALSO THE ALLEY t [T dNING EASTERLY AND �iES`1'ERLY THROUGH _ LOCK 421 C, IN TIIE CITY OF B.& RSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, M IT ;ESOLVED :dY 'TtM COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BA_O;HSFIELD, as follows: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakers- field to order the closing of a portion of 17th 'Street and all of the alley running easterly and westerly through Mock 421 C as hereinafter described; and that the lands included within the boundaries of suc_z portions as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property described herein for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying, maintaining or repairing the following: A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanita- tion; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire pro- tection and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of i3a_iers- field may desire to place, or to have placed therein: All of that portion of 17th Street lying between the westerly line of Cedar Street and the easterly line of Pine Street; also all of the alley running easterly and westerly through Block 421 C, City of Bakersfield, all as shown and delineated on t,ap of the City of Bakers- field, recorded 1%,ovember 25, 1393, in nook 1 of iEaps at Pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern County, California. The district benefited by said closing is described as fol- lovJs: Block 421 C and the southerly 122 feet of block 421 B, as said 3locks are shown and delineated on Map of the City of Bakersfield, recorded in Hook 1 of flaps at pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern County, California.
