RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
B,LMSFIELD CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS
INTENTION T6 ORDER THE WCITION OF A PORTION
OF CEDAR STREET IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation .Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows
Section 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a portion
of Cedar Street within said City, to wit:
All that portion of Cedar Street lying between,
the Southerly line of Truxtun.Avenue and the
Northerly line of 16th Street excepting there-
from a strip of land 20 feet in width and 10
feet on either side of a line which lies 132
feet southerly from and parallel with the
Southerly line of Truxtun Avenue, as shown
and delineated on Map of the City of Bakers-
field recorded November 25; 1898, in Book 1
of Maps at pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern
County, California.
The district benefited by said improvement and vacation is
Block 414 1 and Block 414 B, as shown and delineated on Map of the
City of Bakersfield recorded November 251 1898, in Book 1 of Maps at
pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern County, California.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference
is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California.
Sec cti on 2: That the hour of 8 o'clock P. M., of the lst day
of .April, 19469 in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakersfield,
California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when
and where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed
vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation
thereto.

Section is That the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause
"Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said
City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this 1'e solution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (15) days after
its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on
the 11th day of March, 1946, by the following vote:
