A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BdXERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA DARING ITS IN-
TENTION TO ORDER THE VAt;ATION OF A PORTION
OF 9th STREET IN THE CITY OF BARERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of B4kersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as followss
Section It That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a portion
of 9th Street in the City of Bakersfield, more particularly described
as followss
All of 9th Street lying between the westerly
line of "S" Street and a line 122 feet west-
erly thereof and parallel therewith; also
all of the northerly 62.5 feet of that portion
of 9th Street lying between the easterly line
of "R" Street and a line 122 feet easterly
thereof and parallel therewith. All as shown
and delineated on Map of the City of Bakers-
field, recorded November 25, 1898 in Book 1
of Maps-at pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern
County, California.
For'further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference
is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California.
Section 2s That the hour of 8 o'clock P. M., of the 16th day
of December, 1946, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakersfield,
California, be and the same is fixed as the time and place when and
where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation thereto.
Section As That the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause
"Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said "Street

Vacation Act of 1941 :" being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby
elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolutions and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (1 5) days after
its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield:
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day of November, 1946,
by the following vote:
