HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0667RESOLUTION OF INTENTION M . ,610 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSF'IELD CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION M REDUCE THE WIDTH OF THE ALLEY RUNNING EASTERLY AND WESTERLY THROUGH MOCK N0. 384 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA. The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street 'vacation Act of 1941," being Divi- sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows' Section is That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, to order the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to wit: That the alley running easterly and westerly through Block 3847 City of Bakersfield, be diminished to a uniform width of twenty (20) feet, and the remaining portions of said.alley be vacated and closed. The lands necessary and convenient to be abandoned and vacated for said purpose are described as follows: (a) Beginning at a point on the easterly line of S Street 115,5 feet southerly from the southerly line of 13th Street and running thence easterly and parallel with the southerly line of 13th Street to the easterly line of Block 384; thence, southerly along the southeri prolongation of the easterly line of Mock 364, 6.5 feet; thence westerly and parallel with the southerly line of 13th Street to the easterly line of S Street* thence northerly along the easterly line of Street 6.5 feet to the point of beginning. (b) Begginning at a point on the easterly line of S Street ll 5.5 feet northerly from the northerly line of California Avenue, and running thence easterly and parallel with the northerly line of California Avenue to the easterly line of Block 384; thence northerly along the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of Block 3849 6.5 feet; thence westerly and parallel with the northerly line of California Avenue to the easterly line of S Street; thence southerly along the easterly line of S Street to the point of beginning. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference 1. is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California. Section 2s That the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., of the 29th day of September, 1947, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. Section 3s That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said "Street Vacation .Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said ,Act.
