A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO ORD�R THE VACARON OF DOLORES STREET
BETWEEN HALEY STREET AND BROWN STREET, IN THE
CITY OF B.AKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a street
within said City, described as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner of the inter-
section of Dolores Street (formerly "D" Street) and
Haley Street, same being the southwesterly corner of
Block No. 205 as same is shown on "Map of Bakersfield,
Kern County, California," as per Map Book No. 1, pages
15-16; thence South 730 44' 06" East along the southerly
line of said Block No. 205 to its point of intersection
with the westerly ]ine of Brown Street; thence South
160 15' 54" Nest along, a southerly extension of the
westerly line of Brown Street a distance of 56.51 feet;
thence South 890 29' 04" West a distance of 31.35 feet
to the easterly corner of Block No. 211 of said Map
as said easterly corner exists on the ground, said
easterly corner being on the southerly line of said
Dolores Street; thence along the southerly line of said
Dolores Street North 730 44' 06" West a distance of
322.11 feet to the easterly line of Haley Street; thence
North 160 15, 54" East a distance of 80 feet along the
extended easterly line of Haley Street to the point of
beginning.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference
is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California.
Section 2: That the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., of the 30th day
of August, 1948, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakersfield,
California, be and the same is fixed as the time and place when and
where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation
may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation thereto.

Section 2: That the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Bakersfield$ California, be and he is hereby directed to cause
"Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said
"Street Vacation .bct of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said
City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (1 5) days after
its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of August, 1948,
by the following vote:
