A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS INTEN-
TION TO ORDER THE VACATfON OF THE ALLEY THROUGH
BLOCK 172, IN THE CITY OF BAKSRSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
Section is That it is the intention or the council or tine
City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of the following
described alley in the City of Bakersfield, to wit:
All that certain alley (20 feet wide) through
Block 172, lying between the westerly line of
Virginia Street and the easterly line of Wil-
liams Street as said block, alley and streets
are shown on that certain map entitled "Map
of that portion of the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, showing East Bakersfield,"
recorded January 121, 1889, in Book 1 of Maps,
pages 15 and 16, Kern County Records.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference
is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California.
Section 2: That the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., of the 7th day
of November, 1949, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakers-
field, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and
place when and there all persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence in
relation thereto.
Section I : That the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause
"Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said
"Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and

Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said
City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage Of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (15) days after
its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregokng Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the lath day of October, 19499 by
the following voter
