A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS IN-
TENTION TO 6RDER THE iZATION OF AN ALLEY
IN BLOCK 5529 CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1; That it is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of an alley
within said City, described as follows, to wit:
All of the alley in Block 552, City of
Bakersfield, as said Block is shown and
delineated on Map of the City of Bakers-
field Kern County, California recorded
Noveml6r 25 1898 in Book 1 of Maps at
pages 13 an 14, Records of Kern County,
California;
Reserving and excepting from said vacation the permanent easement
and right at any time or from time to time to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers, and further
excepting and reserving from said vacation the easements and rights,
if any, of public utilities for the purpose of maintaining, renewing
and operating and replacing gas pipe lines, telephone and power
lines and water pipe lines, and other existing utilities, until
the same may be terminated by voluntary agreement of said public
utilities.
That it is determined by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field that the public convenience and necessity require the reserva-
tion of said easements and the proceedings hereunder are taken
subject to such reservations and exceptions.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference

is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of
the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California.
EC' 0_N �s That the hour of 8 o'clock P.M. , of the S 3rd

day of 1950, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakers -
field, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and
place when and where all persons interested in or objecting to the
proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence
in relation thereto.
SEA IT ON 1: That the Superintendent of Streets of the City
of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause
"Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said
"Street Vacation .Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said
City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
SECTION 4s The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin
board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (15) days after
its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 13th day of March, 1950,
by the following votes
