HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0681RESOLUTI0N OF INTENTION 89- A RESOLUTION OF TBE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B.AKERSFIELD CALIFORNIA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ODDER THE VACITION OF A POR- TION OF SACRAMENTO STREET IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA. The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi- sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a portion of Sacramento Street in the City of Bakersfield, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Block 83 as said Block 83 is shown and delineated on that certain map entitled, Map of East and West Bakersfield filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County California, on January 12, 1889 in Book One of Maps on pages 15 and 16, that portion of said map designated as East Bakersfield having formex- ..,been known as Sumner• thence northerly along the easterly line of said Block 83 to its point of intersection with the southerly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company; thence southeasterly along the said southerly right of way line to its point of intersection with the westerly line of Block 84 as said Block 84 is shown and delineated on above said map; thence southerly along the westerly line of said Block 84 to the southwesterly corner thereof and the northerly line of Sumner Street as said Sumner Street is shown and delineated on above said Map; thence westerly along the north- erly line of said Sumner Street to the southeasterly corner of said Block 83 and the point of beginning. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, refer- ence is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, Bakersfield, California. Section 2: That the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., of the 10th day of .April, 1950, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Bakersfield, 1. California, be and the same is fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evid®nee in rela- tion thereto. Section 3: That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "Notice of Street Vacation" to be posted as required by the said "Street Vacation .Act of 1941," being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said ,Act. Section 4s The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted on the bulletin board at the City Hall of said City within fifteen (15) days after its passage. ---------- OOO ---------- 2e I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution of Intention was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of March, 1950, by the following vote: City Clerk and x-0 fic o C1er - of the Council of the City of Bakersfield.
