PF IT RFSOLIIED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, as follows: That it is the intention of the City CoLmcil of the City of Bakersfield, to order the following work to be done and improve- ment to be made in said City, to wit: The construction of an 8" vitrified clay pipe sewer lying. 288.56 feet southwesterly from, measured at right angles to and parallel with, the southwesterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad between a point 250 feet, more or less, south- easterly of the corporate limit line of the City of Bakersfield and a point of discharge into the northwesterly side of a sewage pimp station approximately 15 feet northwesterly of the north- westerly line of "'r" Street, together with the appurtenant lamp - holes, manholes, and wye- branches; the construction of a 61' cast - iron sewer force main along the following described route; beginning at a point in the southeasterly side of said sewage pump station, thence southeasterly to a point 28.75 feet southeasterly of the northwesterly line of "H" Street; thence southwesterly along a line parallel with and. distant 28.75 feet southeasterly of said. north- westerly line of "I-T" Street a distance of 165 -1;5 feet to the pro - lonpation northwesterly of the center line of the alley running northwesterly and southeasterly in Block 4 of Tract Pao. 1009, Kern County, California, as said Tract was filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, on Pages 56, 57 and 58, in Rook 4 of I✓aps, on the 15th day= of November, 1935; thence southeasterly along; the said center line of aforesaid alley to a 1- mer_.hole to be constructed in existing 12" sanitary sewer in the alley running northerly Arid scil.therly t}irough said &lock 4 of afore- said Tract No. 1009; and the construction of a reinforced - orcrete sewage pump station, to`ether with all appurtenant equipment and devices necessary thereto. The pump station shall be equipped with two alternating pumps and capable of dischargii.ij a minimum of 200 gallons per minute udder a static head of 10 feet, all to be designed and constructed in accordance with the best standard practice. All of said work is to be done in accordance tirit'n the plan and specifications approved by the City Council of the City of Bakers- field, and adopted by said Council on the 23rd day of April, 1951, said plan being. entitled "Plan for Public Improvement District No. 686," which plan is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City - of Bakersfield, end. is hereby referred to and by such reference made a part and portion hereof, and in this connection said plan also shows the exact location of the aforesaid work and improvement. The proceedings herein were recommended in writing by the Health Officer of the City of Bakersfield on the 23rd day of April, 1951s as necessary as a health measure and said recommendation was spread upon the minutes of the Council of the City of Bakersfield; and on the 23rd day of April, 1951, such necessity was found to exist by Resolution of the City Council adopted by an affirmative vote of more than four- fifths of the members thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2808 of the Streets and Hi <rhways Code. Said contemplated work and improvement in the op-inion of said City Council is of more tan local or ordinary public benefit, and said Council hereby makes the costs and expenses of said. work and improvement chargeable upon a district, which district said City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and. expenses 2. thereof, and which said district is bounded and described as follows: Reginnirg at the point of intersection of the easterly right of way line of the alley running northerly and southerly through Block 4 in Tract No. 1009, as said alley and block are shown and delineated on the map of "Tract No. 1009, Kern County, California.," filed on Pages 56, 57 and 58, in Book 4 of laps, in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, on the 15th day of November, 1935, with the northeasterly right of way line of State Highway No. 99, known also as Golden State Avenue; thence northwesterly along said right of way line to its point of intersection with the northerly corporate boundary line of the City of Bakers- field, California; thence easterly along said corporate boundary line to its point of intersection with the southwesterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; thence southeasterly along last described line to its point of intersection with the northeasterly right of way line of it Street, as said Street is shown and delineated on. aforesaid map of Tract No. 1009; thence southwesterly along last described right of way line to its point of intersection with the northerly right of way line of Thirty- Second Street, as said Street is shown and delineated on aforesaid map; thence easterly along last described right of way line to its point of intersection with the prolongation northerly of the easterly right of way line of aforesaid alley running northerly and southerly through aforesaid Block 1}; thence southerly along said northerly prolongation of and along said easterly right of way line of said .alley to the point of beginning. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of the "Improvement Act of 1911" being Division 7 of the Streets and Hi ^hways Code of the State of California. NOTICE IS .HEREBY GIVEN that Serial Bonds shall be issued in the manner and form provided in Part 5 of the Improvement Act of 1911, to represent unpaid assessments of Twenty -five Dollars 0-,25.00) or over, which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum and the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the next October fifteenth following their date. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that on Monday, the 1ltth day of N_ay, 1951, at 8 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers in the Citv FIall, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is herebIT fixed as the time and place when and where all persons having any objections 3• to the proposed work or improvement may appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed improvement should not be carried out in accordance with said Resolution. The City Clerk of said City shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be published twice in the Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City of Bakersfield and hereby designated for that purpose by said City Council, and shall give notice of the adoption of said Resolution of Intention by mailing notices, postage prepaid, to all persons owning; real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay any part of the cost of said work and improvement, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll or as known to the Clerk. The Street Superintendent of said City of Bakersfield shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and along all the open streets within said district, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the manner and form required by law.
