as follows:
Vi}IERA , the Council of the City of Bakersfield, did in
open session on the 10th day of September, 1929, publicly open,
examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing certain
street work in said City under and in pursuance of the Improvement
Act of 1911 and all acts amendatory thereof, the names of the
streets proposed to be improved and the location and character of
said proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention No.
598 of said Council adopted on the 5th day of -August, 1929, which
Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for further
particulars:
NOW THE_iT OFP RH :1: RE .OLVED that the said City Council
hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except the next here-
in mentioned and hereby a•. ard.: the contract for doing said work
and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: � giW

The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of
this award twice in the Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper,
published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated by
the Council for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ifesolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the Aa
