BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B",KEEO-��IELD, as follows: WHEREAS, the Council of the 0ity of Bakersfield did on the 5th day of August, 1929, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 598, to order the work described therein to be done and improvement to be made in said City; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published twice immediately after the passage of said Resolution, as required by law, in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and designated by said Council for that purpose as appears from the affidavit of J. L. Meservey, Principal Clerk of said The Bakersfield Californian, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and '. 11-ER.:_: S, notices of the passage of said Resolution of In- tention No. ,ggg, headed "NOTICE OF I _SCO'd:ILIENT" were duly and legally posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of the property liable to be assessed, and along all the open streets within such district, at not more than 300 feet apart and not less than three in all in each street in form and manner as required by law as appears from the affidavit of Walter Parent, who upon the completion of the posting of said notices forthwith filed said affidavit in the office of the City Clerk making oath that he completed the posting of said notices on the 9th day of !,ugust, 1929; and WHEREAS, said posting was fully completed more than ten days before the date set for hearing protests and objections; and IrETS'NAS, the time set for '.'earing of said objections in said Resolution of Intention was more than fifteen and less than forty days from the date of the passage and adostion of said Resolu- tion: BE IT _iL,_;OLV,a'D, that the public interest and convenience require the work described in Resolution of Intention No. 598 to be done, the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby orders the work to be done as is described in said Resolution of Intention No. 598 and for further particulars reference is hereby made to said 9esolu- ti_on of Intention on file with the City Clerk, and said work shall be done in accordance with the plan and specifications on file with the City Clerk, reference to which is hereby made for further _particulars; The City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby directed to post a novice together with the specifications therefor, conspicu- ously for five days, on or near the door of the Council Cha_ber•s of the Council of the City of Bakersfield inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work herein ordered.
