A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
IMPROVEMENTS IN STREET DISTRICT NO.
602, TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BID-
DER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, did in
open session on the 9-1441-day of April, 1930, publicly open, ex-
amine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing certain
street work in said City under and in pursuance of the "Improvement
Act of 1911" and all acts amendatory thereof, the names of the
streets proposed to be improved and the location and character of
said proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention No.
602, of said Council adopted on the 17th day of March, 1930,
which Resolution is hereby expressly referred to for further par-
ticulars:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said City
Council hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except the
next herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing
said workilna improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit:

at the prices named in -4.4„• bid.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of
this award twice in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily news-
paper published and circulated in said City and hereby designated
by the Council for that purpose.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that serial bonds to represent
unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the rate of seven (7%)
per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in the manner pro-
vided by the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915", and all acts amenda-
tory thereof, the last installment of which bonds shall mature
four years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten months
from their date.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the Jity of Bakersfield,
on the >S ay of April, 1930, by the following vote:
