RESOLUTION ORDE RI: G THE WORN IN
STREET DISTRICT _NO. 602, IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSTIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED EY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BANERS-
FIELD, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on
the 17th day of March, 1930, pass its Resolution of Intention
No. 602, to order the work described therein to be done and im-
provement to be :lade in said City; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and
legally published trice immediately after the passage of said.
Resolution as required by law, in the The Bakersfield Californian,
a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and des-
ignated by said Council for that purpose, as appears from the affi-
davit of J. L. ueeservey, Principal Clerk of said The Bakersfield
Californian, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City; and
WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of In-
tention No. 602 headed"NOTICE OF Ii2ROVELENT"were duly and legally
posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement
and in front of the property liable to be assessed, and along all
the open streets within such district, at not more than 300 feet
apart and not less than three in all in each street in fora and
manner as required by law as appears from the affidavit of Walter
Parent, who upon the completion of the posting of said notices
forthwith filed said affidavit in the office of the City Clerk of
said City .making=, oath that he completed the posting of said notices
on the 26th day of "arch, 1930; and
WHEREAS, said posting was fully completed more than ten
days before the date set for hearing protests and objections; and
WHEREAS, the time set for hearing of said objections in
said Resolution of Intention was more than fifteen and less than
forty days fro the date of the passage and adoption of said
Resolution;
iO4`r, THEREPORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the Public inter-
est and convenience require the work described in Resolution of
Intention No. 602 to be done, the Council of the City of Bakers-
field hereby orders the work to be done as is described in said
Resolution of Intention 1'o. 602 and for further particulars ref-
erence is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention on file
with the City Clerk, and said work shall be done in accordance
with the plan and aoecifications on file with the City Clerk,
reference to which is hereby made for further particulars;
The City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby
directed to post a notice together with the specifications there-
for, conspicuously for five days, on or near the door of the Coun-
cil Chambers of the Council of the City of Bakersfield inviting
sealed pro--osals or bids for doing the work herein ordered. He
is also directed to publish a notice inviting such proposals
and referring to the specifications so posted or on file, trice
in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper published
and circulated in said City and hereby designnted for t_
The 3l'day of 1930, is hereby desig-
nated and fixed as the day on which up to the hour of (-o'clock
P. Y. the said proposals or bids shall be received, and all bids
so received shall be opened by the said Council in open session
at 8 o'clock P. M. of the said day, and the said notices shall so
specify.

and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the 7
