RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVE-
MENTS IN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 609,
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, TO THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE BIDDER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, did in
open session on the 1st day of December, 1930, publicly open, ex-
amine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing certain
street work in said City under and in pursuance of the Improvement
Act of 1911 and all acts amendatory thereof, the names of the
streets proposed to be improved and the location and character of
said proposed work being described in Resolution of Intention No.
609 of said Council adopted on the 27th day of October, 1930, which
Resolution of Intention is hereby expressly referred to for further
particulars;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said City Council
hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except the next herein
mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and im-
provement to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit: /5 ,
at the prices named in bid.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of
this award twice in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily news-
paper, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated
by the Council for that purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the L4-1,
day of , 1930, by the following vote:
