the 17th day of iTebriaary, 1936, pass its Resoliition of Intention
No. 619 to order the followinL, work to be done, to-. it:
That the following described portion
of an alley be closed and the lands in-
cluded within the boundaries of such
portion be abandoned; save and except
the perpetual right and easement to
use and enjoy any or all of the property
described herein, for the purpose of
constructing, reconstructing, installing,
laying, maintaining or repairing the
following:
A sewer line and all of its component
parts used or enjoyed in connection
therewith; also any other instrumental-
ities of sanitation ; also water pipes,
fire hydrants and appliances for fire
protection and all appurtenances
thereto belonging; also water pipes and
connections for the distribution of a
domestic water supply; also any other
public system or thing and all of its
component parts which may be used
and enjoyed in connection therewith,
that the City of Bakersfield may desire
to place, or to have placed therein:
That the following described portion
of the alley in Block 467C as said Block
is shown on that certain map entitled
"Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, California," filed in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern
County, California, November 25, 1898,
be closed and the land included within
the boundaries of such portion as de-
scribed be abandoned.
The lands necessary and convenient
to be abandoned for such purpose are
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point formed by the
intersection of the Westerly line of
"B" Street and the Northerly line of
the alley in said Block 467C, and run-
ning thence Westerly along the North-
erly line of said alley to the South-
westerly corner of Lot 5 of said Block
467C; thence Southerly in a direct line
to a point in the Southerly line of the
alley in said Block, said point being
the Northwesterly corner of Lot 16 of
Block 467C; thence Easterly along the
Southerly line of the alley in said Block
467C to its intersection with the Wes-
terly line of "B" Street; thence North-
erly along the Westerly line of "B"
Street to the place of beginning.
All of the herein proposed work and
improvement shall be done in pursuance
of an act of the Legislature of the State
of California entitled "AN ACT TO
PROVIDE FOR THE LAYING OUT,
OPENING, EXTENDING, WIDEN-
ING, STRAIGHTENING OR CLOS-
ING UP, IN WHOLE OR IN PART
ANY STREET, SQUARE, LANE,
ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITH-
IN MUNICIPALITIES AND TO
CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY
AND ALL LAND NECESSARY OR
CONVENIENT FOR THAT PUR-
POSE," approved March 6, 1889, and
the several acts amendatory thereof or
supplemental thereto.
For further particulars reference is
hereby made to Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 619, on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield.
