A RESOLU'TIOI7 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
INTROVE11ENT IN PUBLIC IMPROVETAENT
DISTRICT NO. 623, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE I`i' RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TIME CITY OF' BAKERSFIELD,
as followst
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did in
open session on the /3 ay of June, 1938, publicly open, examine
and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing certain street
work in said City under and in pursuance of the Improvement Act of
1911 and all acts amendatory thereof, the names of the streets pro-
posed to be improved and the location and character of said proposed
work being described in Resolution of Intention No. 623 of said Coun-
cil, adopted on the 9th day of Play, 1938, which Resolution of Inten-
tion is hereby expressly referred to for further particulars;
NO` S THERE 7013E, BE IT RE "OLVED that the said City Council
hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids except the next here-
in mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and
improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to -wit:

The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of this
award twice in the The Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper pub-
lished and circulated in said City, and hereby designated by the Coun-
cil for that purpose.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the ZQ
day of June, 1938, by the following vote:
