WHEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
Bakersfield require the passage of an emergency resolution ordering
a written report for Street Improvement District No. 631, City of
Bakersfield, California,
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
That the City Engineer be and he is hereby ordered and
directed to prepare, or cause to be prepared, a written report pur-
suant to Sections 2 and 3 of the "Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 ", as amended, for the
following work to be done and improvement made in Street Improvement
District No. 631, City of Bakersfield, California:
The construction of asphalt concrete pavement, cement con-
crete curbs and gutters and part - circle culverts on 21st Street in
said City, as particularly shown and indicated on a map consisting
of three (3) sheets, entitled "Map of Street Improvement District No.
631 ", heretofore approved by said City Council and on file in the
office of the Clerk of said City.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage and approval.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the
