BE IT RI'SOLVEaD BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKH Sr'IELD, as follows: WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on the 21st day of April, 1941, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 635, to order the following work to be done, to -wit: That the following described portion of an alley be closed and the lands included within the boundaries of such portion of an alley, as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property des- cribed herein for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying, rnaintEining or repairing the following: A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanitation; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protection and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of Bakersfield may desire to place or to have placed therein: All of that portion of the alley, running easterly and westerly, through that portion of block 180 of the Godey Tract lying easterly of Golden State Avenue, as said Godey Tract is laid out and shown on a map entitled "Plat of the Godey Tract ", filed October 31, 1892, in Nap Book 1, page 33, in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California, and as said Golden State avenue was established by Decree of Condemnation had in Case No. 25454, in the Superior Court of the State of Californi:, in and for the County of Kern, a certified copy of which Decree was recorded January 17, 1933, in Book 451, page 467, of Official Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County, All of the herein_ proposed work and improvement shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled "Ali ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LAYING OUT, OPF;i I1%G, ESXTENDII�G, AIDEIdIIvG, STRAIGHThNIiiG Ch CLOSI1%1G UP, IN 14rOLL-` OR IN PArT, ANY S'i_nrET, SQUARE, LAiiPE, ALLEY, COURT OR rLACE �,aITHIi� idUi�ICIPALITIES AND TO COl'\DEMIN AND ACQUIHJ,` ANY AND ALL LAkii, 1\ECEb6ARY Oil CONVENIENT FOR THAT PURPOSE ", approved March 6, 1839, and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. For further particulars reference is hereby made to Resolution of Intention Number 635, on file in the office of the City Clerk. of the City of Bakersfield. 'IHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Bakers- field did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said Resolution to be posted and published for ten.
