A RESOLUTION ORDERIIuG THE CLOSiBG OF A PORTION
OF THE .ALLEY IN BLOCK 529, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BA RH6R 'IELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on the
12th day of .May, 1941, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 636,
to order the following work to be done, to -wit:
That the following described portion of an alley be closed
and the lands included within the boundaries of such portion of an
alley, as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual
right and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property
described herein for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing,
installing, laying, maintaining or repairing the following:
A sewer line and all of its component parts used or
enjoyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities
of sanitation; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for
fire protection and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also
water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic
water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its
component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection there-
with, that the City of Bakersfield may desire to place or to have
placed therein:
All of that portion of the alley in Block 529 lying southerly
of Golden State Avenue, as said Block 529 is laid out and shown on
that certain map entitled "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern
County, California ", filed in the office of the County Recorder of
Kern County, November 25, 1898, in Map Book 1, pages 13 and 1+4,
All of the herein proposed wore_ and improvement shall be
done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of
California, entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE LAZING OUT, OPTAING,

EXTENDING, WIDENII,G, 6TRAIGHTENING OR CLOSING UP, IIv vHOLE OR Ih
PART, ANY aTREET, SQUARE, LAIv]L, ALLEY, COU -' OR PLACE WITHIN
ItUNICIPALITIF6 AND TO =O DEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND
NECESSARY OR CONVENIENT FOa THAT PURPOSE", approved March 6, 1889,
and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to Resolu-
tion of Intention Number 636, on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Bakersfield.
WHEREAS, the Street Superirtendent of the City of Bakers-
field did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said Resolution
to be posted and published for ten (10) days in the manner as required
by law; and
'4HEREAS, no objections have been filed against said work and.
improvement, and more than ten (10) days have elapsed after the
expiration of the time of publication of said notices of the passage
of said Resolution and the Council of the City of Bakersfield has
acquired jurisdiction to order said work as proposed in said Resolu-
tion to be done;
IUOV, THEb'EFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that said work and
improvement be done as aforesaid and as specifically described in
said Resolution of Intention No. 636, and that said portion of the
alley in Block 529 lying southerly of Golden State Avenue, as said
Block 529 is laid out and shown on that certain map entitled "Map
of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California ", filed in
the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, November 25,
1898, in Map Book 1, pages 13 and 14, be closed.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Ba4.e. °sfield, at a regular
