A RESOLUTION ORDERiiIG THE CLOSING OI' PORTIONS
OF TIM EAST -CkiT ALLEY IN 13LOCK NO. 41 OF T a
"JERHARD ADDITION, II4 TILL CITY OF P,SFIELD,
CALIFORNIA .
BE IT B,ESOLuED BY THE COUNCIL OF i=iE CITY OF 3AlJLR61'IELD, as
follows:
4HEREA6, the Oouncil of the City of 3akersfield did on the 8th
day of Yarch, 1943, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 640, to
order the following wortc to be done, to -wit:
That the following described portions of an alley be closed,
and the lands included within the boundaries of such portion of said
alley, as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right
and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property described
herein for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing,
laying, maintaining or repairing the following:
x sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed in
connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanitation;
also water pipes, fire hydrants and applicances for fire protection
and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and con-
nections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other
public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be
used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of Bakersfield
may desire to place or to have placed therein:
All of those portions of the east -west alley in clock .lo. 4, as
said 3lock is shown on "The Revised !Lap of the Lernard Addition to
fern" filed in the office of the County Recorder of :ern County,
June 12, 1893, in L,ap Book 1, page 43, described as follows:
From the westerly line of Balser Street to the easterly line of
the north -south alley in said 3lock do. 4, and also from the westerly
line of said north -south alley to the south line of Bernard Street.
All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done
in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California,
entitled "Aid ACT TO PROVIDE FO"' 2h!, LAYINu OL'T, ur .lvliaC, ,XT1 i,. 1Z

amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.
2or further particulars reference is hereby made to Resolution
of Intention No. 640, on file in the office of the City Cleric of
the City of Bakersfield.
dim'RFIAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Bakersfield
did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said :Resolution to be
posted and published for ten (10) days in the manner as required by
law; and
WHEREAS, no objections have been filed against said work and
improvement, and more than ten (10) days have elapsed after the
expiration of the time of publication of said notices of the passage
of said Resolution and the Council of the City of .3a"-:ersfield has
acquired jurisdiction to order said worl: as proposed in said iiesolu-
tion to be done;

said resolution of intention -Ho. 640, and that said portions of the
