BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B.AiMRSFIELD, as follows: VnMREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on the 10th day of .April, 1944, pass its resolution of Intention To. 643, to order the following work. to be done, to -wit: That the followinT; described portion of 13th otreet be closed, and the lands included within the boundaries of such portion of 13th Street, as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property described herein for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying, maintaininC or repairing the following: A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanita- tion; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protection and all appurtenances thereto belonging; also water pipes and connections for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may be used and enjoyed in connection therewith, that the City of Bakersfield may desire to place or to have placed therein: .All of that certain portion of 13th Street lying between the Easterly line of F Street and the Westerly line of G Street, as said streets are shown and delineated on I,: PART, ANY STREET, SQUARE, LANE, ALLEY, COURT OR PLACE WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES AND TO CONDEMN AND ACQUIRE ANY AND ALL LAND NEC- ESSARY OR CONVENIENT FOR THAT PURPOSE ", approved March 60 18891 and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. For further particulars reference is hereby made to Resolu- tion of Intention No. 643, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield. WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Bakers- field did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said Resolution to be posted and published for ten (10) days in the manner as required by law; and WHEREAS, no objections have been filed against said work and improvement, and more than ten (10) days have elapsed after the expiration of the time of publication of said notices of the passage of said Resolution and the Council of the City of Bakersfield has acquired jurisdiction to order said work as proposed in said Resolu- tion to be done; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that said work and improvement be done as aforesaid and as specifically described in said Resolution of Intention No. 643, and that said portion of 13th Street lying between the Easterly line of F Street and the Westerly line of G Street, as said streets are shown and delineated on Map of the City of Bakersfield, recorded November 25, 1898, in Book 1 of Maps, pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern County, California, be closed. ---- - - - - -- 000---- - - - - -- I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular 2. meeting thereof held on the 7'7 day of May' 1944' by the following vote: AYES: CARNAKIS, MARMADUKE, NORRIS, SIHMON.
