L_ i 6, the Council_ of the City of i a'.ersfield did on the 2 th
day of January, 11)4, pass its resolution of Intention 'vo. 645, to
order the following work to be done, to-wit:
That the following described portion of 10th Street be closed,
and the lands included v,ithin the boundaries of sucil portions, as
described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and
easement to use anoi enjoy any or all of the property described herein
for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying,
maintaining or repairing th.e following:
..4� sewer line and all o-0 its component parts used or enjoyed
in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanita-
tion; also Water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire protection
and all appurtenances thereto belonginC; also water pines and connec-
tions for the distribution of a domestic water supply; also any other
pui)lic system or thing and all of its component parts vrhich may* be
used and enjoyed in connection there�Tith, that the City of Da.ersfield
may desire to place or" to have placed therein:
iill that portion of 10th Street lying between the Easterly line
of Pershing Street and the ';westerly line or -nion. Avenue, as said streets

For further particulars reference is hereby made to iesolution
of Intention do. 547, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Bakersfield.
,ihhltEAS, the Street Superintendent of the City of Bakersfield
did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said :Lesolution to be
posted and published for ten (10) days in the manner as recuired
by law; and

improvement, and more than ten (10) days have elal_sec, alter the.
expiration of the time of publication of said notices of the passage
of said resolution and the Council of the City of akersfield has
acquired jurisdiction to order said wor'�_ as proposed in said ttesolu-
tion to be done;
