as follows;
'dEEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakers ield did on the
14th day of January, 1946, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 653,
to order the following work to be done, to wit:
That the followingp described portion of Sonora Street be
closed, and the lands included i.Athin the boundaries of such portions,
as described, be abandoned; save and except the perpetual right and
easement to use and enjoy any or all of the property described herein
for the purpose of constructing, reconstructing, installing, laying,
maintaining or repairing the following:
.A sewer line and all of its component parts used or enjoyed
in connection therewith; also any other instrumentalities of sanita-
tion; also water pipes, fire hydrants and appliances for fire pro-
tection and all appurtenances thereto belonrl,ing, also water pipes and
connections for the distributipn of a domestic water supply; also any
other public system or thing and all of its component parts which may
be used and enjoyed in connection therewitli, that then City of Bakers-
field may desire to place or to have placed therein:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the Northerly
line of Block 243 and the Westerly line of Sonora Street
as said Sonora Street was established by deed from J.lt.
and Delia ;Villiams recorded in hook 32 Official Records,
at page 299, Records of ;fern County, California; thence
South 29' 07' 50" 4est along the Westerly line of Sonora
Street a distance of 23.21 feet to the Easterly line of
Union .Avenue; thence South 39' 57' 30" East a distance
of 23.609 feet to a point; thence North 29' 07' 50" East
a distance of 275.079 feet to a point in the `Westerly
extension of the Coutherly line of .Alpine Street; thence
North 73' 52' 50" West, along the Westerly extension of
the Southerly line of ,tLlpine Street a distance of 25.659
feet to the point of beginning.
All of the above described property is as shown on I,lap of
1.
Bakersfield, Kern County, California, recorded January -129 1`•339, in
nook 1 of Tdiaps at pages 15 and 16, ilecords of I.ern County, California.
All of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done
in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California,

thereof or supplemental thereto.

of Intention No. 653, on file in the office of the City Clem:, of the
City of Balcersfield.

did thereupon cause notices of the passage of said Resolution to be
posted and published for ten (10) days in the manner as required by
law; and

improvement, and more than ten (10) days have elapsed after the
e..piration of the time of publication of said notices of the passage
of said Resolution and the Council of tie City of Balcersfield lids
