A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF B&KERSFIELD, ORDERING THE � 4
VACATION OF PORTIONS, OF VI:3GINIA STREET,
vvILLIALS STREET, ZUREKA STREET, EAST 13TH
STREET, EAST 19TH STREET, AIM FIVE ADJOIN-
ING .ALLEYS, IN THE CITY OF B.AKERSFIELD,
CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require, and it
is hereby ordered that:
All that portion of Virginia Street and also all
that portion of 'Williams Street that lies be-
tween the south line of Truxtun .Avenue and the
north line of California Avenue; and
.All that portion of Eureka Street and of 18th
Street and of 19th Street that lies betWeon the
east line.of Brown Street and the west line of
Virginia Street; and
All alleys that lie within the area that is bounded
cn the east by the west line of Virginia Street,
on the west by the east line of Brown Street, on
the north by the south line of Truxtun .Avenue
on the south by the north line of California 4venue,
together with the alley in Block 212 as said block
is shown on map entitled, 'Bakersfield, Formerly
Sumner," recorded in Uap Book No. 1, pages 19 and 2C,
all of which said property is situate in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California., be and the same am hereby
closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, subject
to and governed by the reservations and exceptions contained in and
contemplated by Resolution of Intention No. 657, adopted by the
Council of said City on the 15th day of July, 1946. Reference to
said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further particulars.
2. The City Cleric shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested by the Clergy_ under the seal of the City to be recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Tern, California.

I I1LREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution vies passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the J
5th day of August, 1946, by the following vote:
