RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTIONS
OF 17th STREET AND CEDAR STREET, AND THE .ALLEY
RUNNING EASTERLY AND WESTERLY THROUGH BLOCK 421 D,
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation .Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require, and it
is hereby ordered that:
All that portion of 17th Street lying between the westerly
line of A Street and the easterly line of Cedar Street.
All that portion of Cedar Street lying between the northerly
line of Truxtun Avenue and a line 142 feet southerly from
and parallel with the southerly line of 18th Street.
All of the alley running easterly and westerly through
Block 421 D.
All of said streets and alley are as shown on Map of Bakers-
field, recorded November 25, 1898 in Book 1 of Maps at
pages 13 and 14, Records of Kern Bounty, California;
be and the same are hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes, subject to and governed by the reservations and ex-
ceptions contained in and contemplated by Resolution of Intention
No. 660, adopted by the Council of said City on the 21st day of October,
1946. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for
further particulars.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1L—day of November, 1946, by the
following vote:
