.A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE WORK IN PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 662 IN THE CITY
OF B.AKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on the
13th day of January, 1947, pass its Resolution of.Intention No. 662,
declaring its intention to order the work and improvement therein
described to be done in said City, and
WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 662, headed "Notice of Public Work" were duly and legally
posted along the line of the contemplated work, and
WHEREAS, a notice similar in substance was published for a
period of ten days in the Bakersfield Californian, a daily newspaper
published and circulated in said City and designated by the Council
for that purpose; and
WHEREAS, written objection was filed with the Clerk and heard
by the Council in the manner and time required by law, and
WHEREAS, after hearing, said objection was overruled and
denied, and
WHEREAS, said contemplated work and improvement in the opinion
of said City Council is of more than local or ordinary benefit, and
it appears to the Council of the City of Bakersfield that an assessment
on the district benefited by said work and improvement, which said
district is described in Resolution of Intention No. 662, is necessary
for the doing of said work and the making of said improvement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, that the public interest and convenience require the
work described in Resolution of Intention No. 662 to be done and the
Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby orders the work to be done
as is described in said Resolution of Intention No. 662, and for
further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention on file with the City Clerk. Said work and improvement

shall be done in accordance with the Report of the City Engineer
approved by the Council of the City of Bakersfield and adopted by
said Council on the 25th day of November, 1946, said report being
entitled "Street Improvement District No. 662, City of Bakersfield,
California, Investigation Report," on file with the City Clerk,
reference to which is hereby made for further particulars.
.411 of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done
in pursuance of an.Act of the Legislature of the State of California
entitled "Street Opening .Act of 1889,11 approved March 6, 1889, and
the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto, being
Division 5, Part 1 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
That
and are hereby appointed co issioners
to assess benefits and damages and to have general supervision of
said proposed work and improvements until the completion thereof in
compliance with law.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of March, 1947, by the following
vote:
