RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA ORDERING THE
DIMINISHING OF THE ALLEY RUNNING EASTERLY
AND WESTERLY THROUGH BLOCK NO. 384, IN THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD CALIFORNIA TO A
UNIFORM WIDTH OF 7QNTY (20) gh AND THE
VACATION OF THE REMAINING PORTION THEREOF.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pur-
suant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 19411"
being Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California, does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require, and
it is hereby ordered that the alley running easterly and westerly
through Block 3849 City of Bakersfield, be diminished to a uniform
width of twenty (20) feet, and the remaining portions of said
alley, consisting of the following described landss
(a) Beginning at a point on the easterly line of
8 Street 115 . 5 feet southerly from the southerly
line of 13th Street and running thence easterly
and parallel with the southerly line of 13th
Street to the easterly line of Block 384; thence
southerly along the southerly prolongation of
the easterly line of Block 384, 6.5 feet; thence
westerly and parallel with the southerly line of
13th Street to the easterly line of S Street*
thence northerly along the easterly line of b�
Street 6.5 feet to the point of beginning.
(b) Beginning at a point on the easterly line of
S Street 115.5 feet northerly from the northerly
line of California Avenue, and running thence
easterly and parallel wit)a the northerly line
of California Avenue to the easterly line of
Block 384; thence northerly along the northerly
prolongation of the easterly line of Block 3841

northerly line of California Avenue to the easterly
line of 8 Street; thence southerly along the
easterly line of S Street to the point of beginning.

street purposes, subject to and in conformity with the Resolution
of Intention No. 667, adopted by the Council of said City on the

2nd day of September, 1947. Reference to said Resolution is
hereby made for further particulars.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern,
California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 29th day of September, 1947,
