RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION 01F TH COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF B.AKMarIE ,D ORDERING THE VACATION OF
AN ALLEY IN M&K 264 IN THE- CITY OF
I3.AKERSFI1ZD9 CALIFORHA.
The Council of -the City of Bakersfield, Californ:i.a, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street vacation Act of 1941," being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require, and it
is hereby ordered that:
That certain parcel of land now used for alley purposes
that was deeded to 'the City of Bakersfield by the Kern .
County Land Company and recorded October 3, 1930 in
Book 373 at page 332, of the Official Records of �Sern
County$ California, and described as followso
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 61 Block 264
on the northerly boundary of 17th Street in the City of
Bakersfield; thence 20 feet easterly along the northerly
boundary of said 17th Street to a point; thence 37.5
feet northerly and parallel to the west boundary of said
Lot 6 to a goint; thence 103.l feet at an angle to the
right of 34 471 to a point; thence 24.35 feet westerly
and parallel to the northerly boundary of said 17th Street
to a point; thence 95.4 feet to an angle to the left of
5,50 13' to a point in the west boundary of said Lot 6
thence 43.337 feet southerly along the west boundary o
said Lot 6 to the point of beginning.
And also that certain remaining 20 feet wide central por-
tion of the original 33 feet wide alley in Block Ivo. 264
as said 13lock is shown on the Map of the City of Bakers -
field.recorded in Map Book 1, pages 13-14 November 25,
1393 that lies between the easterly term:Us of that
portion of said alley, vacated under Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 637 dated December 1, 19419 and a line 30 feet
distant westerly from and parallel with the northerly
extension of the easterly line of Lot 3 in said !Mock;
be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes, subject to and governed by the reservations and ex-
ceptions contained in and contemplated by Resolution of Intention
No. 672, adopted by the Council of said City on the 21st day of
February, 11)49. Reference to said resolution of Intention is hereby
made for further particulars.

2, The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution, and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolutions
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the Cityl to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Cernj Cali-
fornia,
