RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, WARDING THE CON-
TRACT IN THE MATTER OF CALIFORNIA,"PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 675" OF SAID CITY PURSUANT
TO RESOLUTION OF INTENTION ADOPTED BY SAID
COUNCIL ON THE 13th DAY OF MARCH, 1950.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, Cali-
fornia, did in open session on the 17th day of April, 1950, open,
examine and publicly declare all sealed proposals or bids for
the construction of the following work to be done and improvements
to be made in said City, to wits
The construction of a sanitary sewer of 6" vitrified clay
sewer pipe in East Truxtun Avenue, Gage Street and East 18th Street,
all in the City of Bakersfield, California. The construction of
manholes and lampholes where shown on the plans of said work and
the placing of "Y" branches at each and every lot, piece or parcel
of land in the district, the exact location of said "Y" branches
to be designated by the City Engineer.
All of said work is to be done in accordance with the plan
and profile and specifications therefor approved by the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield and adopted by said Council on the 23rd
day of May, 1949, said plan and profile being entitled: "Flan for
Public Improvement District No. 675" and said specifications being
entitled: "Specifications, Information to Bidders, Special Pro-
visions, Bid Proposal and Contract for Public Improvement District
No. 675, May 1949" which plan and profile and specifications are on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield,
and are hereby referred to and by such reference made a part and
portion hereof and in this connection, said plan, profile and speci-
fications also show the exact location of the aforesaid work and
improvement.
All of said work and improvement is to be done in accordance

with the report of the City Engineer approved by the Council of
the City of Bakersfield and adopted by said Council on the 6th
day of February, 1950, said report being entitled: "Public Improve-
ment District No. 675 City of Bakersfield California, Investigation
Report", which said report is on file with the City Clerk of the
City of Bakersfield and may be examined at her office. Said report
is hereby referred to and by such reference made a part and portion
hereof and in this connection, said report also shows the exact
location of the aforesaid work and improvement, and
WHEREAS, the said Council has determined and decided that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was,
in the opinion of said Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit, and the said Council has made the costs and expenses
of said work chargeable upon a district. For a particular description
of the said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution
of Intention.
All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried
through in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911" approved
April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Council hereby
rejects all of the said proposals or bids except the hereinafter
mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said work and improve-
ment to the lowest, regular responsible bidder, to wit: to
at the prices
named in th!ir bid for said work on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of
award of contract to be published in the manner and form required
by law in two entire issues of the Bakersfield Press, a daily

newspaper, printed, published and of general circulation in the
City of Bakersfield, California, and hereby designated for said
purpose by said Council.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the .2,4- day of , 1950, by
