A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, ORDERING THE VACATION OF THE
ALLEY THROUGH BLOCK 172, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941", being Divi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
does hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require, and it
is hereby ordered that:
All that certain alley (20 feet wide) through
Block 172, lying between the westerly line of
Virginia Street and the easterly line of Wil-
liams Street as said block, alley and streets
are shown on the certain map entitled, "Map
of that portion of the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern,showing East Bakersfield,"
recorded January 12, 1889, in Book 1 of Maps,
pages 15 and 16, Kern County Records;
be and the same is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes, subject to and in conformity with Resolution of
Intention No. 676, adopted by the Council of said City on the 17th
day of October, 1949. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Reso-
lution, and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California,

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 7th day of November, 1949, bu the fol-
lowing vote:
Ayes: Carnakis, Cross, Kuehn, Morelock, Shurley, Siemon, Vanderlei
Noes: None
Absent: None
