BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKgRSFIELD, as follows; WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did on the 14th day of February, 1950, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 678 to order the work described therein to be done and improvement to be made in said City; and WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published twice immediately after the passage of said Resolution, as required by law, in the Bakersfield Press, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and designated by said Council for that purpose; and WHEREAS, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No, 673, headed "NOTICE OF IRPROV ;NT" were duly and legally posted along the lines of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of the property liable to be assessed, and along all the open streets within such district, at not more than 300 feet apart,in the time, form and manner as required by law; and WHEREAS, said posting was fully completed more than ten days before the date set for hearing protests and objections; and WHEREAS, notice of the adoption of said Resolution of Intention was given by mail in the manner required by law; and WHEREAS, the time set for hearing of objections in said Reso- lution of Intention was more than fifteen and less than sixty days , from the date of the passage and adoption of said Resolution; and WHEREAS, said City Council having duly received and considered evidence oral and documentary concerning the jurisdictional facts in this proceeding and concerning the necessity for the contemplated 1, work and improvement and the benefits to be derived therefrom, and said City Council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the public interest and conven- ience require the work described in Resolution of Intention No. 673 to be done, and the Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby orders the work therein described to be done, said work shall be done in accordance with the plan, profile and specifications therefor, heretofore approved by this Council. For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention ;30. 673, plan, profile, and specifications, all of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield is hereby directed to post a notice referring to the specifications therefor, conspicu- ously for five days, on or near the door of the Council Chambers of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work herein ordered, The Clerk is also directed to publish a notice inviting such proposals and referring to the specifications so posted or on file, twice in the Bakersfield Press, a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose. The 20th day of March, l950, is hereby designated and fixed as the day on which up to the hour of 5 o 'clock F.M., the said proposals or bids shall be received, and all bids so received shall be opened by the said Council in open session at 3 o'clock }.M., of the said day, and the said notices shall so specify. 2.
