VSMRES.E, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, did in open session on the 20th day of March, 1950, open, examine and publicly declare all sealed proposals or bids for the construc- tion of the following work to be done and improvements to be made in said City, to wit: The construction of 6" sanitary sewer of vitrified clay pipe in Dobrusky Drive and Snyder Lane and the construction of an 3" sanitary sewer of vitrified clay pipe in U Street/ together with manholes, lampholes and "Y" branches, all as described in Resolution No. 678, of Intention/passed and adopted by the said Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the 14th day of February, 1950, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention and also to the piano, profiles and speci- fications for Public Improvement District No. 673 on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Bakersfield, and all of said plans, profiles and specifications heretofore approved by the said Council of said City are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said works and 7INEREAS, the said Council has determined and decided that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of said Council/ of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and the said Council has made the costs and expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For a particular description of the said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. 1. All of the work herein ordered shall be done and carried through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911" approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. NOW, TfEhBFORE, BE If i&OLVED that said Council hereby rejects all of the said proposals of bids except the hereinafter , mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for said work and improve- ment to the lowest, regular responsible bidder, to wits to 4.131-11. L Q_Clo-1 , at the prices named in their Bid fo said wort on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ba kersfield, California. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of award of contract to be published in the manner and form required by law in two entire issues of the Bakersfield dress, a daily newspaper, printed, published and of general circulation in the City of Bakersfield, California, and hereby designated for said purpose by said Council. 2.
