INTE"LTIOF-i Noe 697 A 'RESOLUTION Oi UM COUNCIL 010 'TIM CITY OF R-AK -RSFIELD, CALIFOPTU.fl, DECLARING ITS INTEN- TION TO ORDER THE VACA1`ION 'OF A PORTION OF V STREET IN THE CITI,, OF BAKERSITELD,CALIFORNTIA. The Council of the City of Rakerefield, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being; Divi- sion 9 of the Streets and -Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a portion of V Street within said City, described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the point formed by the intersection of the easterly right of way line of V Street wit.i the northerly right of way line of 23rd Street, as said streets are shown and delineated on that cer- tain map entitled "Map of the city of Bakersfield, California," filed in the office of the County Re- corder of Kern County, California, on Pages 13 and 14, in Book 1 of Maps, on the 25th day of November, 1898; thence westerly along the prolongation west- erly of the said northerly right of w7 line of ?3rd Street to its point of intersection with the northerly right of way line of U. S. Highway 99, also known as Golden State Avenue, as said Avenue was established by Decree of Condemnation had in Case No. 25454, in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of Kern, a certified copy of which Decree was recorded Janu- ary 17, 1933, in Book 451, Page 467, of Official Records, in the Office of the County Recorder of s,aid Kern County; thence westerly along said north- erly right of way line of Golden State Avenue to its point of intersection with the easterly line of the Kern Island Canal, as said Canal is shown and delineated on aforesaid "Yap of the City of Bakersfield;" thence northerly along said easterly line of said Kern Island Canal to its point of inter- section with the southerly right of way line of 24th Street# as said Street is s1hown and delineated on aforesaid "Map of the City of Bakersfield;" thence easterly alonC, last said southerly right of ,..ray line of 24th Street to Its point of intersection the aforesaid easterly right of way line of IT Street; thence southerly alonf; last described line to •-he point of be `Tinning; 1.
