RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF SCBAs TO
SANTIAGO de QUER9TARO, MEXICO,
A GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY AND SISTER CITY
FOR ONE DOLLAR ($1.00) U.S.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield possesses one hundred sixty (160) surplus
self- contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) which are no longer serviceable for
the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, Santiago de Quer6taro, Mexico, a governmental entity, and
sister city to the City of Bakersfield, desires to receive the surplus SCBAs at a cost
of one dollar ($1.00); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Bakersfield Municipal Code section
3.20.120(F) the City Council must confirm and approve the sale of any surplus
equipment to a governmental entity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
2. The City Council authorizes the Finance Director to sell one hundred
sixty (160) SCBAs to Bakersfield Sister City, Santiago de
Quer6taro, Mexico for one dollar ($1.00)
