ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5.08.080 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
EXPIRATION OF ALARM SYSTEM PERMIT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 5.08.080 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
5.08.080 Expiration of alarm system permit.
All alarm system permits shall expire one year after the date issued.
Application for renewal shall be filed not sooner than sixty days nor later than
thirty days before the expiration of the permit. Permits lawfully renewed prior to
the effective date of this provision shall expire one year after the date of latest
renewal. It is the responsibility of the alarm user to submit an application prior to
the permit expiration date. Failure to register or to renew a permit shall subject
the alarm user of the unregistered alarm system to a late fee as established by
resolution of the city council if the renewal is more than thirty days late.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.
