The Bakersfield Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying a
suspect wanted for robbery.
On Monday, January 14, 2013, at approximately 12:27 p.m., the Bakersfield Police Department
received a call of a robbery that had just occurred at the Bank of Sierra, located at 2501 Mount
Vernon Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers learned the female subject, depicted in the attached video surveillance
photographs, entered the bank, approached one of the windows and handed a note to the bank
teller. The note demanded currency and made threats of a weapon. The suspect then fled the
business on foot with an undisclosed amount of currency.
The suspect is described as a light skinned Black female or Hispanic female, 40 to 50
years of age, 5’04” tall, medium build, wearing prescription glasses and a gray sweater
with a white shirt underneath.
