The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in
identifying a suspect wanted for sexual assault, home invasion robbery and
burglary.
On Thursday, January 17, 2013, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Bakersfield Police
Department Officers responded to the 100 block of Glen Oaks Drive for a report
of a sexual assault. Officers learned that earlier in the evening, the suspect
entered the victim’s residence armed with an unknown type object. The suspect
forcefully moved the victim into another room, where he sexually assaulted her.
After the assault, the suspect threatened the victim and took items of value. He
then fled the victim’s residence in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 30s, 5’10” tall, heavy build,
wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark gloves and dark pants.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation is on-going.
