The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in
connection with a sexual assault, home invasion robbery and burglary that occurred on Thursday, January 17, 2013,
in the 100 block of Glen Oaks Drive.
The investigation revealed Duree Anthony Beard, 30, is the suspect wanted in connection with this case. An arrest
warrant was obtained, charging him with sexual assault, home invasion robbery and burglary.
On April 4, 2011, AB-109 was approved, placing non-violent, non-serious and non-sexual offenders under county-
level supervision after their release from state prison. Beard, depicted in the attached photograph, is on post-release
community supervision pursuant to Assembly Bill 109.

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for
sexual assault, home invasion robbery and burglary.
On Thursday, January 17, 2013, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Bakersfield Police Department Officers responded to the
100 block of Glen Oaks Drive for a report of a sexual assault. Officers learned that earlier in the evening, the suspect
entered the victim’s residence armed with an unknown type object. The suspect forcefully moved the victim into
another room, where he sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the suspect threatened the victim and took items of
value. He then fled the victim’s residence in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 30s, 5’10” tall, heavy build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark
gloves and dark pants.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
The investigation is on-going.
