HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/25/2013 OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER January 25, 2013 TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council FROM: Alan Tandy, City Manager AT/ch SUBJECT: General Information  We held the budget preparation kick off meeting with staff this week. As I presented to you in the mid-year budget report, our own revenues are on a slight incline. However, predatory actions by the State and County could negate that – making financial planning problematic, as the threat amounts come close to the revenue growth numbers. The enclosed pictures show work being done at the site earlier this week. • To encourage spending by visitors and residents for Valentine’s Day, the Bakersfield Convention and Visitors Bureau has kicked off its Romance and Relax promotion that features specials from hotels, museums, and other local amenities.
