The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in
identifying a suspect wanted for armed robbery.
On January 29, 2013, at approximately 9:58 a.m., Bakersfield Police Officers responded
to the Radio Shack located at 5041 Gosford Road. Upon arrival, officers learned the
suspect, depicted in the attached video surveillance photograph, entered the store and
brandished a firearm. When employees and patrons did not meet his demands, he fled
the business on foot eastbound across Gosford Road.
The suspect is described as a Black male, in his late teens to early twenties, 5’08” to
5’10” tall, with a thin build, clean shaven face and a dark complexion. He was last seen
wearing a red bill baseball hat (possibly a Washington Nationals hat) black hooded
“Everlast” sweatshirt and dark pants.
