On January 1, 2013, at approximately 1:55 a.m., the suspect (depicted in the attached video surveillance photograph along with the subject wanted for questioning) exchanged words with the victim inside the AMPM Convenience Store, located at 3125 California Avenue. The victim, the suspect and the subject wanted for questioning in this case, then exited the store and a physical altercation ensued among the victim and the suspect. During the fight, the victim received multiple stab wounds to his body. After the fight was broken up and the two parties left the area, the victim responded to a local hospital for his injuries. The suspect, depicted on the left in the attached video surveillance photograph, is described as a Hispanic male, 23-26 years of age, 5’07” tall, 180 lbs., with a shaved head and a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing a long black jacket, dark blue shirt and dark jeans. The subject wanted for questioning in this case, is depicted on the right in the attached video surveillance photograph, and is described as a Hispanic male, 23-26 years of age, 5’07” tall, 180- 200 lbs., with short black hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a brown fluffy jacket with fur around the hood, a blue and white plaid button up shirt and dark jeans. Anyone with information regarding this suspect or the subject wanted for questioning in this case is urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111 or Detective Rick Dossey at (661) 326-3513.
