The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s
assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for sexual assault.
On February 16, 2013, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the victim was walking
in the 700 block of Grace Street, when the suspect approached her from
behind and pushed her to the ground. The suspect then attempted to
sexually assault her before fleeing the area.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his middle 30’s, with a
medium build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and
blue jeans. He spoke Spanish.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call the
