For Immediate Release March 8, 2013
On Thursday, March 7, 2013, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Bakersfield
Police Detectives assigned to the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Detail
responded to a local hospital regarding a 14 month old male juvenile with a
possible broken leg.
The investigation revealed the victim had numerous bruises, abrasions,
broken bones and internal bleeding on the brain.
Detectives located and arrested the suspect, identified as Lissett Jurado,
21, of Bakersfield, for child endangerment and assault with a deadly
weapon.
The victim is currently hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is on-going.
