On March 17, 2013, at approximately 9:00 p.m., James Deloney, 38, was arrested in the 3900 block of Trenton Street. He was booked for murder, felon in possession of a firearm, and participation in a criminal street gang. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111 or Detective Kroeker at (661) 326-3546. Previous Release March 17, 2013 On March 17, 2013, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Officers of the Bakersfield Police Department responded to a call of a victim of a gunshot wound in the 3500 Block of Caldwell Drive. When officers arrived on scene officers located a male adult in front of a residence, suffering from a multiple gunshot wounds. The male adult succumbed to his injuries while at the scene. The investigation revealed that multiple people were at a gathering to the front of a residence in the 3500 Block of Caldwell Drive. Witnesses’ described a verbal confrontation occurred between several subjects at the gathering. Several minutes later, the suspect returned to the group of subjects and fired several rounds at the victim. The suspect was last observed running southbound in the 3500 Block of Caldwell Drive. The suspect is described as a; Black Male, 20’s, White T-Shirt, Denim Jeans Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 377-7111 or Detective Kroeker at 326-3546.
